You Can't Have It Both Ways

The FAR left extremists (I'm talking about the crazies, not normal, open-minded liberals) like to say that the U.S. is no longer the dominant world power because of _______insert reason. Europe likes to tell us how terrible we are and that the world no longer supports "super-powers". But what does every country in the world do when they have a problem? The good ol' USA. WW1? We weren't directly threatened, but we joined in. WWII? What would've happened to Europe if the U.S. didn't take over? Korea? "Call the U.S. will take care of it!" Vietnam? We had to go because the French screwed it up in the late 50's. Panama? " The U.S. will take care of Noriege!" Iraq (Desert Storm) "the U.S. uses a lot of fuel, let them take care of Saddam!" Bosnia/Herzegovina/Kosovo? "Send in the NATO--but make sure it is the U.S. that spends all the money and sends all the troops. Starving people in Africa?" Afghanistan? I seem to remember terrorist bombings in Europe in the last 10 years, but "the let the colonies take care of it!" The U.S. grows plenty of food, they can feed the world! Global Warming? Blame the U.S., but make sure they are growing food for the rest of us. My point is, the world likes to complain about how bad the U.S. is and that we aren't/shouldn't be the dominant country in the world, but wer'e the first ones EVERYONE calls when they need help-YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS PEOPLE!
